Ammonium sulfite is recommended for use as an agricultural fertilizer

1、Calculated based on an annual production capacity of 40,000 tons of sulfuric acid, the exhaust gas volume is 14,300 standard m³/hour, with a SO₂ concentration of 0.335%. After treatment, the discharged exhaust gas contains 250 ppm SO₂. The annual operating hours are estimated at 8,000 hours, resulting in an annual production of 2,200 tons of solid ammonium sulfite.

2、The equipment's depreciation period is set at 10 years.

3、The annual equipment maintenance cost is calculated at 2.5% of the equipment investment cost.

4、The management fee is calculated at 10% of (wages + maintenance costs + raw material costs).

5、Compared to using ammonium bicarbonate as the ammonia source, employing liquid ammonia requires an additional water cooling system in the neutralization section and a liquid ammonia storage tank in the feedstock section. When 20% ammonia solution is used as the ammonia source, an additional water cooling system is required in the neutralization section, along with an ammonia solution storage tank in the feedstock section.

6、Ammonium bicarbonate is calculated as containing 95% (by weight) of NH4HCO3, while the ammonium sulfite product is calculated as containing 90% (by weight) of (NH4)2SO3·H2O and 5% (by weight) of (NH4)2SO4.
