Weigh approximately 5–6.5 g of the sample (with precision to 0.0002 g), place it in a 250 ml volumetric flask containing 150 ml of water, dilute with water to the mark, shake well, and use as the test solution for determining the contents of ammonium sulfite, ammonium bisulfite, and ammonium thiosulfate.

Determination of Ammonium Bisulfite Content

Determination of Ammonium Sulfite Mass Fraction

If the sample contains ammonium bicarbonate, the mass fraction of ammonium sulfate [(NH4)2SO4] (expressed as%) shall be calculated using Equation
