Ammonium Bisulfite

1. Ammonium bisulfite is a strong reducing agent that can preferentially react with oxygen in the solution or with intermediates such as peroxides formed by the oxidation of drugs, thereby protecting the main drug from oxidation.

2. Used as a deoxygenator for drilling mud, it can effectively remove dissolved oxygen from the mud, preventing corrosion of the well casing; it is also used as a deodorizer, reacting with hydrogen sulfide to eliminate odor

3. Utilize sulfonation reaction to convert aldehydes into stable, water-soluble sulfonates, thereby removing them from the system

4. Provide ammonium ions and bisulfite ions, which synergize in high-temperature reactions to produce a caramel color with extremely high acid stability and high color yield
